At the end of the war, Chinese labourers had the gruesome job of digging up and burying the dead, including their own compatriots. The British cemeteries erected for the war dead of WW1 are the responsibility of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. We look at how the CWGC designed the Chinese Cemetery at Noyelles-sur-Mer and how they continue to maintain and update CLC headstones.
